Today, during a CeBIT preview event, T-Mobile Germany unveiled the MDA Dasic. Perhaps the phone can’t compare with some of the top-of-the-line devices of today, anyway it still has some respectable features.  As an entry level solution, the MDA Basic features just a QVGA screen, 2MP Camera and no 3G support. The rest of the specifications are, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, microSD slot and HTC’s Touch Flo interface. The MDA Basic runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 and it looks like it’s manufactured by HTC (the Today screen seems to feature HTC’s TouchFlo 2D)
The Basic, that looks a lot like the original HTC Touch, with a compact size and good battery life it is a good choice for a second device. Dimensions are 105 x 59 x 16 mm, weight is 110 g and the battery is good for up to 8 hours of talk-time or 11 days stand-by. Available from February, with a 24 months contract the MDA Basic will be available for 4.95 Euro. However, T-Mobile Germany will also offer it in a prepaid version where the device will cost less then 200 Euro.
