Along with photographer and model Helena Christensen, Samsung Telecommunications America officially unveiled the Samsung Memoirâ„¢. The Memoir is a non-smartphone with a a full touchscreen interface, 3G Web browsing speeds, and a super-duper 8 megapixel cameraphone. The 8 megapixel handset will boast a Xenon flash, CMOS auto focus and 16x digital zoom, and a sophisticated camera menu that enables users to adjust the brightness and flash, change the default destination of images, select a timer and zoom in or out.
Recording video can be done for up to 60 minutes depending on the resolution format. Even, the Memoir allows users to create customized slideshows of their images with music and different transitions. With the TV-out feature, the Memoir enables users to share custom slideshows, video or images on a television for everyone to enjoy. The Memoir’s proximity sensor works to automatically adjust the backlight when using the phone’s camera in different environments, as well as lock the LCD screen when brought to the user’s ear when making or receiving calls. The Memoir is T-Mobile’s second 3G-capable, touchscreen device is also pitched as a navigator with built-in GPS as well as a media phone with common format support.
Moreover, the phone  uses a slightly customized version of Samsung’s widget-based TouchWiz interface with support for MyFaves calling and other T-Mobile services. The online weather widget connects to The Weather Channel automatically for updated weather information and forecasts in the user’s city.
Samsung Memoir’s price is said to be of $299 with a 2-yr contract agreement and will be exclusively available through T-Mobile USA beginning February 25, 2009. While, Noah gets his hands all over the T-Mobile Samsung Memoir
