Canada’s TELUS will officially announce that its nation-wide HSPA network will go live on November 5th.
TELUS will be the only carrier with 3 networks to their name, CDMA, MiKE (PTT) and HSPA. The new next generation wireless network is the latest enhancement to TELUS’ multi-network mobile strategy, offering customers the technology for increased wireless data download speeds of up to 21 megabits per second, access to a world class selection of compelling mobile devices and international roaming service to more than 200 countries .
The new HSPA network ensures we’ll get faster speeds for all your webpages, emails, songs, and movies. In addition this new network leads to a “smoother transition to fourth generation (4G) wireless technology known as long term evolution (LTE).” The carrier also has in store appealing devices like the HTC Hero, as well as the LG BL40 New Chocolate. Moreover, it will also add to its offering the newly unveiled Blackberry Bold 9700.
Its pricing will match the Rogers version and see 16GB and 32GB iPhone 3GS units cost $200 and $300 respectively on three-year contracts. Contract-free versions will sell for $700 and $800. The 8GB iPhone 3G will sell for $100 on contract or $600 contract-free.
