The latest phone from Velocity Mobile is available. The Velocity 103 is expected to begin shipping later this month, according to the company’s announcement at the fall CTIA show, which is taking place in San Francisco right now. Sporting a thin eye-catching design in basic black, the Velocity 103 lacks a QWERTY keyboard, but it offers a full touch screen. One specialty of this phone is it’s easy-to-use Odyssey Interface with Mobile 6.1 by Microsoft Windows, having updates available through Velocy Over The Air (VOTA). The wonderful thing about VOTA is that us folks won’t need to buy a new phone just to get updated software. The Velocity 103 Smartphone, which is built around a Qualcomm MSM7201 processor paired with 256MB NAND flash memory and 128MB of DDR ROM memory. The 103 has a 2.8″ VGA TFT LCD touch screen display with 640 x 480 resolution, Bluetooth, WiFi, 2.0-megapixel and a VGA camera too. It comes with integrated GPS as well as a TV-out allowing you to view your captured images and video or playback presentations on TVs. Pricing information was not released, though online retailer Expansys is taking pre-orders for $499.99
