We’ve always had a soft spot in our hearts for Velocity Mobile. The smartphone that made its appearance here in September has passed approval by the FCC. According to Engaged Mobile, the Velocity 83 will be powered by a 400MHz processor and Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional with the Odyssey user interface.
It will come with quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE connectivity, a 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, an accelerometer, 64MB ROM and 128MB ROM, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, and a 2MP camera. Without 3G support, the device, is expected date of release was November. There are no details at this point about availability and pricing.
