Those waiting for an official confirmation of the Palm Pre coming to Verizon got just that via a tweet sent out on Twitter by Verizon. A new tweet by Verizon itself makes it official: the carrier is getting the Palm Pre “early next year,” which probably translates to Q1 2010. The tweet, first spotted by a reader of BoyGeniusReport, reads: “We will be carrying the Palm Pre smartphone early next year.” That means the carrier will have a family of BlackBerrys, the Pre and the Motorola Droid. Anyone want a 16GB Palm Pre?
