Verizon Wireless and Motorola announced that the Motorola Adventure V750. The V750is the first phone of the carrier to utilize the new generation Push to Talk over CDMA EV-DO Rev. The EV-DO Rev technology offers fast two-way communication with one person or a group of people. This instant talk is like Sprint’s iDEN service, but with the improved quality of the 3G network. The “Adventure” attached to its name, because the new phone is rugged and meets the 810F military standards for shock, vibration, dust, solar radiation, high and low temperature, and altitude. Motorola V750 weighs 3.94 ounces (111 grams) and, when closed, measures 4.0 x 2.0 x 0.65 inches (102 x 51 x 16.5 millimeters).
The V750 is heavy on the features, as well, with a 2 megapixel camera, a microSD card slot, dedicated music playback buttons on the outside, and Advanced Speech Recognition, voice command. The 1.6″ external color display offers a view into your music, while the 2.2″ QVGA internal display should offer a pleasant overall user interface experience. The V750 also supports for other services such as V CAST Video and turn-by-turn mapping via VZ Navigator. The battery included in the clamshell should last up to 230 minutes in talk-time mode or up to 83 hours in stand-by mode. The Motorola Adventure V750 will be available in the Verizon Wireless Communications Stores from July 28. The phone will carry the price tag of $99.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate.
