At CTIA 2009, comes an announcement that Verizon will launch a Mobile Web Games and Apps Store, which customers can access directly through their phone’s WAP or HTML browser. The new Mobile Web Games and Apps Store uses cool graphics and an easy-to-navigate menu to guide customers to the wide variety of titles and tools Verizon Wireless makes available on many of its handsets. The Mobile Web Games and Apps Store is free to use as long as customers are already subscribed to a data plan. Applications and games are priced individually.
Customers with Get It Now-capable phones can click through to games and applications directly from Mobile Web, and the service lets people preview, sample and order games. Â For any game that is downloaded, you will be charged $1.99 per MB.
