Verizon Wireless Network Extender femtocell coming January 25th for $250

Verizon Wireless is finally going to launch its own femtocell service starting on January 25. That would allow you to get better coverage on your Verizon wireless line. That femtocell device in the picture there looks like a small cellular but this device adds 5,000 square feet of CDMA coverage to the location of your choosing and supports up to three simultaneous calls. Therefore it costs a few extra dollars. You will need to pony up $250 for a femtocell gizmo, perhaps pay an additional monthly fee and use your own broadband network.

Verizon Wireless says it hasn’t announced the pricing just yet. “We have been testing a product and plan to make an announcement early this year,” Verizon spokesperson wrote in an email.
