There’s a torrent of HTC Touch HD news out today, including hands-on photos and feedback, a video demo and even pre-order pricing. A pre-order price for the device has come out today on Amazon Germany. They’re asking for $893 for phone, however, a shipping date has not yet been posted. The French site geekinc.fr have gotten their hands on one of these phones, apparently, and decided to share the info with the world. Along with several pictures, a demo video is also making the rounds, which you can watch below.
The good news is that the video embedded below gives TouchFLO 3D looks incredible on the WVGA display and almost makes you forget that Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional lies underneath that sleek, new UI. There’s no flash to give the 5 megapixel camera (a first for HTC, by the way) a helping hand in marginal lighting conditions, which is a bit of a downer. But, the camera is still quite capable of shooting quality photos in dim lighting conditions - especially compared to the iPhone and iPhone 3G’s 2 megapixel camera.
The HTC Touch HD is pretty small with an 800 x 480 touch screen. It’s fast and about iPhone-sized and features a high-rez camera. No HSDPA support on this model yet, however that may be added as time goes on. Webpages load fast, and TouchFLO 3D is pretty flawless here.
