Vodafone has announced today that the iPhone will be available on its network in the UK from January 14, 2010. Like Orange, Vodafone isn’t trying to compete on price.
“The cheapest tariff available is £30 a month for 24 months, plus additional handset charges ranging from £59 (iPhone 3G 8GB) to £239 (3GS 32GB). Both business and consumer contracts are subject to a 1GB monthly data limit on mobile Internet use. Orange has a ‘fair use’ limit of 750MB per month,” reports BBC News.
The operator promises free Vodafone to Vodafone calls, along with 1GB of mobile internet for those who have pre-ordered an iPhone. People who have registered interest will receive email instructions how to pre-order it. You can pre-order an iPhone from Vodafone now at Vodafone’s Web site. If you already registered your interest in the iPhone and you pre-order now, you’ll also get free calls to Vodafone phones for the life of your initial contract.
