
Fujitsua, a Japanese cell phone company will launch its waterproof handset ‘F706i’ in Japan market via NTT DoCoMo in July. which supports HSDPA and 1-Seg mobile TV. Like many Japanese phones you can watch TV on it, the clamshell’s crisp 2.7 inch screen makes viewing pleasurable. The F706i is waterproof and can withstand water pressure up to a depth of 3m and you can even watch TV underwater.
However, Fujitsu decided to demonstrate the phone as an underwater TV set, as you can see in the picture. Specs include HSDPA connectivity, 2 Megapixel camera, Micro SDHC card slot, full web browser and support for playback of popular audio and video formats. The unit measures 109×49×16.9mm and weighs 137 gram. Yes, with this phone, you could watch today’s season finale of Lost while taking a bath.
